About 10 of the Sundae Quilters got together this weekend for what will surely be an annual retreat weekend. Lots of fun, sewing, and FOOD!!!!

June Get-Together

Wow!! it's been since November that I posted last????? My only excuse is that I keep forgetting to take my camera or the last time I posted on my own blog and didn't post here.

So the girls got together at my house today.  Bonnie and Belinda were binding; Jeane is working on applique. Jan is cutting out for our Chimney Sweep swap. Fran, Pat, Judie, and I were working on our hexies... and I didn't get a picture of Marie before she left and I forgot to get a picture of Belinda... just her pig-nose quilt (see my post over at Patchwork Penguin from today).   We always have such fun when we get together... it was a great day.

Sundae Quilters at the Guild Retreat

Well another retreat has concluded and I think we all had a lot of fun. Here are some pics of some of the Sundae Quilters busy working on various projects.

Sundae Quilters Time

Yesterday some of the Sundae Quilters met at my house.  Nancy, Fran, Bonnie, Marie, Jeane, Pat, Jan and I had a good time and made some progress on our quilting projects.  Jan showed her bowtie quilt (hand quilted - beautiful!!).  Marie got her son's quilt back from the longarmer and showed it to us - another beautiful quilt!!  Nancy had her "Turning Twenty Again" Halloween quilt to show, Jeane finished up some placemats, Fran got some cutting done and then switched over to cross-stitch, Pat, who is new to the group, and Nancy worked on some grandmother's flower garden blocks.  Bonnie got the binding done on her African drum mat - beautious!!!  Marie is working on some gorgeous applique and I worked on one of my Celtic Knotwork "chunks" and then switched over to my grandmother's flower garden blocks.  As you can see, it was a productive day for all.  Jeane and Marie brought desserts so we were all fat and happy after lunch!!!  See my blog (http://www.quiltedscottie.blogspot.com/) for more photos.

Finally getting together

Well it took a while for us to get together (well, more for me to be able to play); but the Sundae Quilters got together on Sunday!!!

A couple of new gals have joined us..... Jeane and Bonnie. They definitely are kindred Sundae Spirits.

I worked on my hexies............. now I can start putting them together again after taking them apart.

Fran's Birthday Tea

Yesterday was Fran's birthday and a few of us got together and had Tea. It was alot of fun and the tea was yummy.

From left to right is Nancy, Judie, Fran, Bonnie, and Carla. Bonnie is new to quilting, but I'm sure she will get addicted soon.

I wish more of our Sundae Quilter sisters could have been there. Perhaps next time.

Love Quilt for Belinda

One of own needed a big hug and that's what friends do best. Belinda's father passed away very suddenly, so the Sundae Quilters were very sneaky and gave made her a big hug. Needless to say there were a few tears at the table; but I think we did a good job surprising her.
